morning smoke from tail pipe??

I just install it a 14b. Its been two weeks now and today my car started smoking in the morning. A lot of bluest, white smoke comes out of the tail pipe until the car is warmed. Car runs very well, spools nicely at 12 psi and have 95k miles on the motor. I pop open the radiator cap while the car is still running and it seems to have no mixture of oil and coolant.
There is one problem that I have tho, there is an oil leak from the feed line banjo bolt at the top of the turbo.

This should not be head gasket problems right.

Fix your oil leak at the bajo bolt, Instead of your turbo getting the oil it is suppose to, It is leaking out.

White smoke :

Caused by water evaporating in the exhaust stream. Occasional puffs [are] usually from condensation in the exhaust pipes (especially in humid areas) or a water balloon up your stove-pipe. Continual white smoke [is usually due to] a warped head/head gasket and coolant entering your combustion chambers. If you're really unlucky, might be from a cracked head. Some people have reported that high boost levels may promote white smoke, for some reason. Turning the boost down some cures the problem. This might be related to worn out seals on the turbo, which can leak oil into the exhaust. A bad brake booster can potentially let brake fluid into the vacuum line, which also produces white smoke.

Blue smoke :


1) Failed oil ring(s) in the block
2) Failed valve seal(s) in the head
3) Failed turbo oil seal
4) especially on rebuilt heads, may be poor fit between the valves and the valve guides.

Ok, my car use to warm up and smoke goes away. But today I drove all the way home "87miles" and smoke did not go away. No smoke up until I started deccelerating at 65mph then I heard a back fire. Smoke came gushing out here and there all the way home. My car still seems to run fine.

Can this be from a bad turbo, or can turbo blow out smokes from tail pipes if its going bad.

I talk to a buddy with a 97gsx that had a blown head gasket. He said that his car symptom was oil leaking everywhere under his car and smoke nonstop in the morning.

My car didn't seem to leak all over but smoke nonstop today.

Oil leaking through the turbo or valve stem seals could cause white smoke...not blue.

WRONG-----burning oil is blue not white. Coolant is white and condensation is white.

so since my car still runs good and smokes. The chances are motor is good and tubo is bad.

What do you guys think?

Is there a good site for compression test. I'm not sure how to do this.

If I had to guess and say which one I would be suspicious about, I would say it was your turbo...only because it was the last thing you installed before the symptoms started.
