Before people read this and bash me in I really dont Plan on doing this, its just a thought. If I am running rich and gas is in my exhaust then if it
put a ignition system of some sort I.E spark plug, and have a way to time
it then would it ignite the fuel like one of those propane systems, ands shoot a flame

Mine is on my dash. Been pulled twice. Told the cop I don't have a bracket. Kinda been thinking bout doin the EVO style front plate, off to one side. I need as much airflow as possible over my front mount and radiator. I am not mounting that thing in the center of my front bumper, right in front of my cooling stuff...

In most states there is no law saying you can't mod the license plate.And if the law does state you can't cut it, it doesn't say you can't bend it.Something to look into..But yes the evo style mount would be awsome..

I think the high-point of the thread was a bunch of people with 4G63s talking about Subarus with rally engines without realizing what their own engine was developed for. (While that was happening, Tommi Makinen killed three kittens.) Now that it's just internet lawyering, it's dull.

ps. not too pleased to see the suggestion of a HP limit in WRC, either. They limited displacement and put intake restrictors on the cars, but did not limit the HP you could produce.

In Illiniose Tints are Illegal on the front windows, but the back ones can be slightly tinted. We dont have emissions testing if your car is before 96 so I dont need to worry about a straight exhaust or any of those other emissions failing mods. The cop in my area are really cool. I live in a Big city with gangs and drugs and thats really all the cops here care about is stoping them. I have been pulled over doing 90 in a 35 and only got a warning (verbal not writen) cause the cop told me he had better things to deal with. The cops that are asses are the ones the next town over. Everybody were I live will tell you not to mess with those cops when it comes to traffic violations. I have gotten 2 tickets from them for doing 40 in a 35.

The wrx thing came from a video I posted with 2 wrx with a launch aid like stutter box. Then it went on to claim they just had no cats...And everyone knows unburned fuel in the exhaust catches fire etc... It's internet ADD haha

looks like the same exhaust i have one mine. mine does it if i free rev to redline aswell. first time it happened scared the hell out of me was a loud pop and a huge flash behind me. Coworkers said it was like a 2 foot flame but i think they were exaggerating.

its a SRS exhaust, and yea I was close to redline, it happened once when I was in the car and scared me to, it was loud cause it was in my alley enclosed between garages, so I set up my phone and did it again. When I had DSMlink with my 2step set up I was told I got flames shooting at my rev limiter, It was never on video tho.

wrx is a 2.0l ej25, sti is 2.5l ej257

^^^ No sir. An older wrx has a 2.0l EJ20. The STI's of the same year will share that motor. Newer WRX,s upgraded to a 2.5 EJ25 at the same time as the STI's
For anyone calling a Subaru a "rally" car, Do you not realize that the Mitsubishi 4G63 has more WRC titles than Subaru? Epic fail. A galant Vr-4 and Evo are alot more "rally" cars than any WRX. SMH

Now as for the OP's question. If you want to shoot flames out of your exhaust then get a cat-less exhaust and makes sure to keep your AFR's under 11. Then redline shift without fully lifting off the gas. That should do it. But I'd much rather see that on a track then the street. Never looks cool to me at a stop light but looks pretty nice exiting a corner and stomping on 3rd gear down the back straight of a raceway!

I already got it to, and my car is a Auto so there is not need to lift to shift . that was a 3in DP catless exhaust to SRS catback

I don't think my exhaust is that loud, I have heard louder hondas, I never been pulled over for exhaust, I just accelerate real slow when cops are around, and try not to vent . I can't wait to hear what my thermal sounds like when I get my project car running.
