Before people read this and bash me in I really dont Plan on doing this, its just a thought. If I am running rich and gas is in my exhaust then if it
put a ignition system of some sort I.E spark plug, and have a way to time
it then would it ignite the fuel like one of those propane systems, ands shoot a flame

1g's don't have resonators do they..I've been under my car alot and have never seen a resonator..2g's have 2 of them don't they..

ANd you would have to rap your car out to get flames..Just like these peole are doing..And if you do that your probably gonna get pulled over anyway..

Well im not doing it, although i am going catless when I get my exhaust so if it happenes it happenes.

If i was not afraid I would hit red line myself but I cant afford it to go wrong LOL

If you hit redline on purpose it's not as scary as the throttle sticking and going through redline in all 4 gears until you can get her shut down..LOL..That's freaking scary..

But these engines should be able to take redline..

My exhaust is full 3" turbo back. Cat (Northern Virgina is an emissions area) and a straight through muffler. I know if I run hard and do a half-lift shift (kinda like no-lift, but drop the throttle half closed, thereby not allowing the bypass valve to fire) from third to fourth, over six grand, it will shoot a flame about a foot long out the tail. It will do it if I push first to redline too, but shifting an OEM original trans at 7k (or more) doesn't work to well. :)

WOW!

just FYI the fact that Subaru makes rally cars doesnt mean every one of their cars are rally cars. LOL and that has even less to do with the reason they shoot fire out their catless exhaust systems. the reason they do this is because unlike our ECU's theirs dont completly cut fuel on throttle lift or 0% throttle

Actually Subaru doesn't make rally cars at all. It's usually an outside source that get the Subaru delivered to them and then they transform it.

I shoot flames from my exhaust all the time with NLTS.

I would love if my tail pipes did that:hellyeah::hellyeah::hellyeah: but they probobly never will. the coloer of the flames looks cool on there own, it reminds me of GT5;) As for red lines, Im just scared I guess, I have had other people tell me that these engines can handle a beating, but I just dont want to ruin my way to work/school yetROFL

These engines are capable of 8k intermittently. Stock red is at 7. Mine sees another 7.5 at least once daily. I'm not saying go out and free rev to the limit in the driveway, but under load, if you see red it isn't too bad cause its not staying there.

So what your saying is if im hitting WOT and i go over red line (7k) I would be fine as long as I dont linger there. Got something to do after work:D Not really though I wont do it unless I have to and that wont be for a while.

my buddy is a tech for Subaru, and im pretty sure it still says subaru on the car after its modified just because some other company modifies it doesnt change the platform, but i know what you mean. my buddy even worked on Ken Blocks car when he was in a subi, the dealership he worked at delt with his car and worked on it... so its still enough of a subaru for the dealership to repair it

He also has an 3 inch exhaust with i'm sure a cat delete..But you can try it if you want..You might not be able to see the flame if it does do it..

No I have to pass a two stage idle sniffer. I have a cat. Have to until 2016 when my car will be 25 years old. Then it is exempt from emissions. That's when all he11 will break loose on the build.

OP Flames like this?

My car almost does flames like that with my Anti-lag... Depends on the settings

Cars that burble flames are very cool... if it's a side effect of the performance of the engine. :hellyeah:

Making a car shoot flames like a blow touch by using spark plugs, propane, and/or a purposefully bad (rich) tune is just dumb. :nono:

In Illinoise its any car before 96 does not need emessions testing, I get to go all out.

Thats how I fell to. Propane tanks look stupid but naturally occuring flames look sick.

Showoff!

We don't have emisions testing around here..But if the cops want to be dicks they can write you a ticket for a modded exhaust..

yea same here all the street racers get tickets for there exhaust being to loud.

I really have a hard time respecting the law when I know so many officers. They honestly enjoy harassing people. Tinted windows although not illegal, will get you pulled over like you had dead bodies dragging behind your car.

I do however respect police in cities where they have bumper stickers that read "50,000 reward for anyone willing to assist in prosecution of police murder" It was something to that effect. NYPD for the record. That is a job you punch in, and may not punch out.. everyday.

GET THE FLIP OUT OF WISCONSIN!! What a commi state.....

Actually it's afederal law I think.Any modification to the exhaust is ileagal..I should look that up..But in Wisconsin, as long as your not messing around trying to be loud they won't mess with you..But if they want to they can write you a ticket for a modded exhaust..

Except the only people that get pulled over are the young guys/kids with the fart cans trying to be as loud as possible..They never mess with motorcycles, or classic cars with obviously modded exhaust's..

But if you also cruise through town in a gear higher than you need to be in you shouldn't piss any cops off..

It's similar like that here.

Like I said tint isn't illegal but if you have it you will be pulled over for it. They will say you didn't stop for 3 seconds at the stop sign, or you didn't use a turn signal... Then if you own a dsm, a honda, a scion, vw, anything that you MIGHT be under 30 in. Your ass is grass. You could be 50 and in your Nova with open headers screaming down the street and that would be fine. Mean while, a vw with tint rolls by and that cop will lay a nice fat patch, drop his doughnut, and break all types of laws to get apprehend the vw driver.

Find some crime...There are tons of dope and crack addicts all over this place. I'd like to see them harass these people for a change. I literally was sitting in a gas station parking lot waiting for a friend to come out and a complete crackhead walks up to my window mumbling some weird nonsense which I later deduced was voodoo as my car wouldn't start when I went to leave the gas station......I open the hood to find my battery terminal was cracked in half. I was like wow.......

That's dsm's for ya..Mind of their own..If you have less than 35% tint, thay can't do anything about it..But who goes 35%..It's not even dark at all..35% is the federal law..States laws can allow you to go darker..Not this state, it folows the 35% law..But they also don't ever pull over a soccer mom with blacked out windows..They only pull over the young guys..

Cops in my area are also dicks for front license plates..But if you have a classic or a corvette don't worry about that law, cause they don't care..

Mine is on my dash. Been pulled twice. Told the cop I don't have a bracket. Kinda been thinking bout doin the EVO style front plate, off to one side. I need as much airflow as possible over my front mount and radiator. I am not mounting that thing in the center of my front bumper, right in front of my cooling stuff...
