Tactrix/Ecuflash with 95 ECU?

Many people have been telling its not possible but in one of Ceddys posts, It seem like you can. I just need to put that pin in my ecu right? And thats all and Openport/ecuflash should be happy with everything? I also read Ceddy said the 98 is faster that the 95 ecu how so? it pulls more "samples" if you will, of info or what? And thanks for all your help in the community Ceddy.

Well I ran the evoscan on my 95 with a 2.0 taxtrix cable and it works ok, logs slow but does give you the good info.

But was that with your stock 95 ecu?

Only the 98/99 ECUs can be flashed if that's what your getting at.

You could probably use EVOscan on any ecu, since that is just a logging software. But only the black box ecu's can be flashed.

Yea stock ecu it just logged worked good I got all the reading I wanted but doesnt work the best but decent tho.

You can get the $14 vagcom cable from ebay and run it with Evoscan. It's great for logging. And later down the road it's $350 for the 2.0 cable and a black box ecu. Alot better than $150 plus $350 for ecmlink. and since you have a 95 you can force pass emissions.
