T4Z 88HTA *gt37r* vs GT3582HTA *gt35r*

Curious to know the difference in the two. I'm not the smartest when it comes to talking about turbos. Their the same price, and I'm looking for mid to low 10's. Both turbos going for $1,700.00 off FP site.

So any info I can get, and users of either turbo or on possibly an option I missed please let me know.

Mid to Low 10's is possible with much smaller turbos. With the correct setup, turbos such as the 60-1, any 30R variant, many of the BW 200 Series turbos, hell with real good tuning and a good driver a TD06 20g, or 50-Trim is capable of those times. And they all will have a much faster spool.

They will also be cheaper and can be used with many stockish parts (manifolds, O2 housings, etc.)

10s? go with the 35r my buddy would of went 9s on that turbo if the vac line for the bov didnt blow off he still ran a 10.4 the 37 is almost the same turbo expect it will make more power at the top and have a slower spool how much sloower that i couldnt tell you. like i said my buddy who ran the 10.4 made over 600 whp i think it was 640ish what mods do you have?

Sorry, but if I read your profile right your are running a SCM6152, which is also more than capable of these times.

I was told by my local shop that I'd be hard pressed to hit mid to low 10's b.c the turbo is internally gated. I could convert it to external..but I hear it's better if I can just change turbos that already come externally gated. I'm SERIOUSLY hoping for high 9's. There's a guy with a similar set-up @ strictly (where i take my car) thats running high 9's. He recommended one of the 2 I've asked about.

ok what about exhaust? fuel? your going need one serious pump to hit high 9s or two 255 at least... and some 1000cc injectos the 35r is more the capable of hiting high 9s with a good driver.

I HAVE on the car now..
PTE 1000CC injectors
255 fuel pump.
AFPR.
-6 AN SS braided Fuel line from tank to rail.
3inch straight pipe back.

Im just seeing if its possible..so we'll see. leaning towards the 37r..spoke witha guy last nite from the city who was running it...nice turbo!!
