t3/t4 turbo questions

Ok, i just bought a t3 turbo and i know i need a t4 mani, external wastegate, 255 fuel pump, 660cc injectors, fpr, 3" intake, hi flow fuel rail, oil feed/return lines and maby i'm missing a few things if anyone could infor me it would be appreciated and i also have a another question the hotside wheel has a i guess chunk carved outof it everything looks fine no shaft play but theres just a weird chunk missing right behind the nut i have a pic it's kindof blury but you get my point hopefuly.

That is how they balance the turbo. Exactly what turbo do you have? T3/T4 could mean 50 different combinations.

it says T04E and J84A on the turbo side not sure what that is it don't make sence to me.

Get some picture of both sides of the turbo. You'll have to remove the covers and measure the wheels to determine what turbo it is.

OK let me ask a really quick question. your title says T3/T4 turbo but you state you need a t4 manifold and in you pic it looks as if its a T4 turbo due to the V-band on the outlet for the turbine housing. my question is, are you sure you have a T3/T4 turbo or is it a T4 turbo. remember they are not the same thing nor is the manifold flange or the flow characteristics. this is a very expensive mistake when ordering parts or trying to get a setup correct.

sorry for the confusion i was stateing above that i know what some of the supporting modifications are needed also someone told me to take pics of the inducer so i took the comp houseing off and did so! The inducer measured 3 1/2 inches the hotside measued in at 3 inches so if someone could tell me the flow charicteristics on this t3/t4 that would be cool

Take measurements of the inducer and exducer of each wheel. It's very unlikely that compressor wheel has a 3.5" inducer.

Sorry i ment exducer on the comp wheel is 3.5" the exducer on the turbine wheel is 3"

Turbos are usually measured in millimeters. If you measure the wheels in millimeters you might have better luck figuring out what turbo you have.

ok the comp wheel exducer is roughly 88.9mm give or take 00.1mm the inducer is roughly 72.4mm also give or take a few 00.1mm does that help any?
