T3/T4 Garrett 2G How To's

I think I may go with the garrett turbo t3/t4 I am aware I must get some things to put it on. What all do I need and where can i get it!

You were interested in the 20G in another thread, now a Garrett. That's a step from one of the most reliable choices to one of the least reliable choices.....but it's your money, spend it however you want.

i as well would rather see a 20g on a dsm, the t3t4 (imo) is a honda turbo because thats all you see on ebay.

The thing that most people don't realize is that your not the first person with this question or dilemma. If you had a set goal for the car, then it would be fairly easy to do a little research and pick the right turbo for your car. The decision can be affected by price but shouldn't be made solely on the "cheap" factor.

Picking the correct turbo for your car isn't something that can be done in one night, sometimes not in one month if you really want to spend your money once and do it right the first time. You'll need to understand the reliability of all your choices as the car will be your daily driver. You'll also need to understand fitment, oiling, airflow, boost efficiency, and most importantly, you should have all of your supporting mods purchased OR have a good idea of what your supporting mods will be before you even begin shopping for a turbo.

Most of the time a guy will get stuck because the turbo blows on his daily driver and he's forced to make a split-second decision in order to get the car back up and running as inexpensively as possible. If you have the time to shop, do your research and be an educated consumer. Don't just buy something because Joe Blow said it would make your car as fast as his.

There are Evo III 16G's running 10's, and there are GT42R's running 12's. You want to be the former as opposed to the latter.
