heres my situation. i need a motor for my 95 gsx so i decided to do the famous 6 bolt swap. since this was low mileage i was going to use it for awhile, then rebuild it next winter. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/e...d=1,1&item=8024176293&sspagename=STRK:MEWA:IT

well i noticed the exhaust mani was a n/t. come to find out , its a 91 talon 2.0 n/t. i never even thought to check for the T at the end of 4g63, yes im an idiot. i have two options. find a 90-92 car with blown motor for cheap, drop it in and sell it and start all over. or from what i researched i have found i can tear it down, do turbo pistons since nt is high compression, machine in oil squirters, and drop some cams like ffwd in it. my question is, is there any other differences, this is all i can find. any advice is much apperciated, i just hate the idea tearing down a low milage motor but its not going into my 95 without a turbo strapped on it. thanks

Block is basically the same minus the oil squirters, and I think they do have a spot for a knock sensor but they are'nt in the exact same spot.

You could just use a factory turbo rotating assembly in it depending on what your plans for power are.

If you tear downt the six bolt and put in turbo pistons you will be fine. I believe that is the only major difference between na and turbo. Depending on opinions you wont even need the oil squirters if you go with forged pistons. Cams might be different but im not sure so you might want to look into that.

Because almost every aftermarket forged piston is desgined to operate without oil squirters. Call up Pat at Ross Racing Pistons and he'll tell you the same thing. In my opinion, the oil squirters are not needed in higher hp motors, especially forged piston motors. All I can reference to is my experience with a 7-bolt built motor that spun a rod bearing. After rebuild, we removed the oil squirters and elimnated the problem.

did some more research and found this. i wont make near the hp nate does with his motors so i will post later on how forged pistons and rods on a n/t block does on a conservative 350 hp motor, or atleast thats the hp im shooting for.

The six bolt n/t block will be fine the only difference is it doesnt have squirters. To my knowledge the n/t block isnt any weaker then a turbo block.

Sorry to bring this thread back..but got another 6Bolt N/A swap question..
How about this N/A Crank?? may I use it in turbo aplication????is this crank billet as turbo crank???
So,if squirters are okay...you sayin I can use 6Bolt N/A block with oil pump and rest..to swap into my 2G??
Thanks

..So,turbo forged crank which can hold like500awhp is in 140HP N/A engine...WTF ..I know mitsu is Rich CO. but why they did??

If N/T block don´t have oil squirters..should be better for me..read Nate´s post...wanna get wisecos..
What if you runing 6Bolt turbo block and take out squirters..??do you have to plug them to stop oil press??

and N/A Oil pump is same as turbo..is this N/A oil pump god for my needs?

Or do I have to get Turbo 6Bolt block...???(RARE in CZECH!)
Iam really confused..don´t wanna build engine and destroy within few months...
Thanks
