im looking for something cheap to do for now to get a little more comfy ride out of the car, found the below link on ebay....anyone think this might help the ride out a bit, like i said just looking for a cheap alternative for now.

any other suggestions and or links are welcomed

thanks in advance for anything :)

Why the hell would you cut your springs! WTF

Just get some nice coilovers for like 800 bucks. :thumb:

He wants to get away from a bumpy ride though. I've never ran coilovers myself, but everyone thats used them here at SCCA events say that they generally don't ride very well, but they put up with it because they're so adjustable for track use.

I'd say go with some Tokico Illumina's and stock or as mild a sport spring as you can find with as little drop as possible. There is one on ExtremePSI that I'd say go with, but it's been out of stock for a while now so I can't really say what kind of spring to go with.

I have H&R sport springs and just got KYB AGX shocks put on today by a buddy of mine, and man let me tell you, that its the softest ride ive been on for being a 14 year old car.

Just FYI. Regardless of the "bumpy" ride, never cut your stock springs. They are tested for a certain load and your are making them weaker by cutting them. These arent cars that go well with hack jobs.

Yeahhhh maybe I should have cleared this up for you guys, I did not cut them. They came cut when I got the car which is why I am now trying to upgrade the suspension a little. I do not wanna run stock springs ### I do wanna have a somewhat lower stance. That's why I was looking at the above mentioned kit

How much did you end up spending on the h&r spring with the kyb shocks man??

Think an eibach pro kit would be enough for ya? Its a 1 inch drop and looks awesome. Not too much. :thumb:

OP, keep your eyes peeled for a good used setup. With a small budget, not much can be done for new parts. New shocks alone are over $400 then add a good set of springs to that and you're well over $600 after shipping. And when you get to that point, you might as well pony up the extra 2-300 dollars and get coils that come with camber plates and shocks and springs. Not to mention the adjustability and ride height adjustment of coils

i'm currently running some tokico coil overs with about a 2 inch drop on them.
the ride is firm, but not unbearably rough.

plus with any sort of coil overs you can adjust them to your liking so I would really suggest just finding a good used set up here in the market and going with those.

The tokico HP lowering kit might be good for you. I believe they go for about $375 shipped on ebay. Thats probably your best option if your on a small budget.

i have a brand new set of TEIN FLEX with the edfc (electronic controller) that i'm selling, if you are interested i can send you pictures. Personally i think they are the best, Price to go $ 1,100.00 with edfc.
