alright so im trying to see if i can raise my GST just by a little bit. but im not sure if its been lowered on coil overs or shocks and springs. is there any way to tell? the previous owner didnt tell me what he had done, he just told me that he put alot of money into the suspension. he coulda been speaking out of hiss A** tho.

if your talking about the car in your picture, looks to be the stock ride height. usually stock springs are black, and look for any kind of markings like the mitsu star on them. if the guy was really cheap, he could have cut them though too. best bet, buy a new set of springs.

nooo not the one in my picture, theres another one in my pictures the white one. thats the gst and the one thats been lowered. when i take the wheel off what do i need to look for? cause the springs are blue, for sure not stock

what do i need to look for?

Well, since it's not the one in your picture... Is it a 1g or 2g?

What you want to look for is an adjustable perch. The perch is the ledge that the spring sits on. It will be threaded on a coil over system.

Example of a coil over system:

Now, this is considered a full body coil over system since you get the spring, shock, and the camber plates all in one package.

Ground control makes a coil over setup that you can put onto regular shocks and it looks like this:

Notice the adjustable spring perch. That make this adjustable and can be slid over top of the replacement shocks to create a cheap coil over system.

Now, a spring and shock combo will be just that an unadjustable shock with a spring sitting on it. Therefore the only correct way to raise that would be to put some different springs on it.

Here's an example of a spring and shock combo:

Notice the spring sits on the perch and is not adjustable. This is a KYB AGX shock with the Eibach Sportline spring on it.

Now with you saying the springs are blue that makes me think they are sprint springs. But that's my only guess.

the reason it looks so long is because i put the car up on the jack and didnt take the tire off, just raised the jack

Definitely Tokico shocks and I'm still going to say Sprint springs. But you will have to find some identifying marks on them to prove me wrong.

yeap! dead on! those are sprint springs and those are the same springs my car had when i bought it... they suck! those look like tokico hp's? definitely tokico's at the least though! get some eibach springs and it should be better... tokico illumina's are better then the hp... but if you're replacing both, might as well spend a tad bit more and get some nice coil overs. :dsm:
