eVERYTIME i turn the nut, the shock turns, i tried holding with plyers/wrench like i did for the rest of the 3, but this one doesnt work, and yes i tried an impact wrench, i need the carf ready to go tonight for work so

help please :c its my last strut

If youre still up and havent gotten it, RUN TO WALMART! Grab PB blaster and WD40 and spray the whole can on them!

No but seriously, drench that shit. Both work best if left on for a good amount of time, but its better than nothing.

Also get a buddy to help you. One person hold it while the other one wrenches. Or maybe a vice grip, but then you would be more likely to cause damage to the part.

GL though! Take a break and come back to it if you can stay awake LOL.

its been a while since i did suspension on my dsm but if you are able to grab onto the rod from the bottom with some channel locks (use a peas or car hose to not scuff the shock and still get good grip... then use the wrench on the nut. but PB blaster is the thing that will help out the most.

Are all of you suggesting to undo this nut whike the spring is free? Good way to hurt yourself.

I was just thinking that.

Put that thing in a spring compressor and it will be 1000x easier to get off.
Edit: Just saw the threads to the compressor.
Do you have an air impact? if so, tighten it up a little and then try taking it off.

Side note: Is that blood by the nut?
