Mods from kits, IMO, are no where near as good as kits pieced together. For example, sure you could go out and buy a $8,000 computer with a 6 GHz processor and all the gadgets, but what if I could build a computer with more power for 6 grand? Buy parts individually is sometimes cheaper and chances are, you probably wont use every bit of what comes with that 8 thousand dollar computer, and thus, you have potential to spend money where its needed.

Heres a direct example of why stages are stupid: With suspension stages, how do I control how soft or hard I want my setup? How about ride height? So really, Im buying what Mopar tells me is best for everyone?

And I never said that SRT-4 owners are retarded (now that I think about it, I do agree tho). I hate FWD (GST too).

While I can see what you are getting at you are missing one point, warranty.

As these cookie cutter mods in stages come with a warranty from good old Mopar. So while it maybe nicer to go out and get a sweet set of JIC's I would love to have any suspension problems fixed at the dealer without a hassle.

I am a DSM purist. I believe that a DSM should be built to out-perform any other car on the street and to command the respect of other tuners.
I believe there are two types of cars on the road today: DSMs and everything else. Everything else should fear the DSM marquee.
I believe we all share the same love for our DSMs and I will support any DSMer who demonstrates intelligence and respect for his DSM brothers and sisters, regardless of power plant.
My DSM is neither a rolling disco or a transformer. The only appearance mods I require are a functional suspension, wheels, and a wash and wax.
Always subtle. Always tasteful. Always in the lead.
