Strange Noise BOV?

So I just got a short route fmic put on by JNZ, they also put a 1g bov (semi-crushed) on with it. I am hearing this beep/ping/whistle after I rev the car....

I placed it on youtube. What is the issue here? Could it be the 1g BOV? Sorry about my filming, I wasn't paying attention haha.

From what I hear its normal. Mine does that in the vac range. In fact, if I hold it at 20 vac I can get a steady note that attracts cute little animals from the forest.

ahhh the normal dsm bov whistle. gotta love it. ive never heard any other bov do it except a stock 1g bov. yes its normal, no theres not anything to worry about.

My greddy also make a whistle like the 1g's after every blow off.

I have 2 1g valves that are crushed on the car and they make different whistles at different vacuum on decel. Strange sounding, but under WOT, they hold.

Mine does it as well, and squeezing the BOV return tube changes the sound even more. My friends joke around that my car sounds like it is wheezing.

2 of my 3 1g bov's have all done that. I can't stand cruising at high vacuum and having that continuous whistle..
My understanding is that it happens because the valves are old and worn, air leaks past the shaft inside the unit when the valve is held at a certain spot - likely the spot where the valve spent most of its operational life, fluctuating ever so slightly in a very short range probably wore the parts down so that they leak now in that particular range of motion.
