Strange Noise

I'm hearing a strange noise from my engine bay that's recently got worse. It's a dinging. it used to only happen in 2 cases, when I went over a bump it would ding once, and when I did a hard pull it would start sounding like I was dragging a metal pipe across the road. Recently I don't even need to do a pull, it just starts on any high speed even when I avoid boost. If it's making the sound it will stop as I accelerate and continue when I let off.

I've tried tapping everything in the engine bay with a wrench and cannot recreate it. It sounds like it might be the turbine wheel But my Turbo has zero play. Is it possible it develops some play as it heats up?

I'll try to get a recording of the sound.

Pop the hood and rev it up.that might help u hear where its coming from

You can only hear it under load. Revving doesn't make the sound at all
