these qustions may seem a little dumb but what is the stock wheel size and boost on the 2cd gen gs-t/gs-x ? also has any body out there sone a gs-x conversion to their gs. i read about one in the knew super streeet and it was kinda funnny because i was with my friend and i had just got done telling him that eclipses or dsm's never get put in there. its alaway F-N hondas. every once in a while they throw an evo in there. asny way enough of my rant

Stock wheels are 16" except for 97-99 GSX, and 97-98 Talon AWDs, which got 17s. Stock boost is around 10psi. As far as the conversion, I don't know, but for what you'll spend on it you could pick up a stock factory-AWD car.

Well having done a couple of conversions spyder to AWD, and GST to GSX, about 2K in labor plus parts. Also you will need quite a few parts, your best bet is to find a donor car.

In my opinion converting a GST to a GSX is not worth it, since you can sell the GST, and then go buy a GSX. You will spend less this way. Converting a spyder to awd is the only way to have a awd spyder, unless you buy one already converted.

Wow i didnt know spyders were never factory made GsX's...thats really strange? But isnt converting a Gs to Gs-X all about tranny and axels? correct me if im wrong ### id like to know more

OK, you're wrong. A GS model has a different engine if it is a 2nd gen with opposite motor mounts etc. Just converting one of those to a GS-T is murder.

Swapping to a GSX requires a new fuel tank, rear-end assembly, second job, and girlfriend when she dumps you for spending all your time working on the conversion.

Don't do the swap, just go buy a GSX and be done with it or be happy with your GST

yeah thats what i want is a like a 98 gsx i already have a 4g63 j-spec i plan to do the turbo and engine work on it while i still have it on the stand. i was just checking to see how much of a pain thin the @$$ it was to do it.

however i know you can get teh same performance value out of a gs-t but isintthe gs-x always quicker through the 1/4

I take it you'll be doing a six-bold JDM swap then? (We DSM'ers use JDM, not j-spec, that's a Honda thing ) If it is a six bolt, have you done your research on the swap? That isn't a drop-in job either... unless you actually just drop it in and don't want it to turn the wheels...

I wish I'd done some work on my JDM block before stuffing it in. Should've replaced all the seals/gaskets on it. It's leaking oil like a sive right now.

( the j-spec thing was the search i did to find the motor) yeah its a six bolt. my plan is to put some stronger cams in it and i do plan to replace the gaskets a guy around here with a prelude bought a j-spec motor and it did the same thing leaked oil. yeah i did a litle research don't i need the same transmission for the year of the 6 bolt ? also i have teh chance to buy a gs-t spyder the wieght difference is only 121 pounds thats like racing seats and a carbon fiber hood to equal out the weight i dont really like convertibles but i want that performace so i just really want to wait till i can pick a gs-x
