I am unsure if it is a boost leak or I not geting enough fuel. It will work perfect for a few days then if I were hit the throttle she'll start to bog out when it reachs full boost , but it will work fine at half throttle.

PLEASE HELP!!

Martin

Check your spark plugs and spark plug wires. I had a similar problem and it turned out my cables were gone.

I just put a new set of plugs in it about a month ago now. I'm just running stock boost which is probably 4psi..

Have you also checked your spark plug cables ? I had a similar problem once, my spark plugs were fine, the car boosted down the street with no problem, then on the way down the block it boosted and then stopped, as if it fuel cut, and i drove it home slowly scared something bad happened, turned out to be the cables were wasted, you might want to look int othat.
Also put soapy water on your intercooler hoses with the car on to check for boost leaks and make sure all your clamps, and vac hoses are on good.

you can test the wires by putting some water on them, if it dies or starts sputtering then the wires are bad.
dont drown them though, just pour a little on.

TPS ???

I thought thats all the stock turbos put out. I just have the stock Boost guage which is junk.

TPS- Throttle Position Sensor

Get yourself a set of NGK BR7ES plugs. They are mainly for marine and motorcycle applications so sometimes you can them local at a bike or boat shop. Make sure you gap the plugs at .028 because any higher will cause the spark to break up when boost is present.

Wouldn't he want to go with NGK BPR9ES plugs? Since hes still stock.

No not at all. Thats two stages colder and not needed unless running 35+psi and nitrous. You want to run BPR6ES for stockers. But I always run the BR7ES because most people will up the boost some day and they dont hurt to run.

The "P" in the part# stands for "Projected". People are having a lot better luck with less detonation running the Non Projected plugs like (BR7ES) because it raises the spark in the cylinder.

Ooops my error i meant BPR6ES, since dsms came from the factory with them.

I haven't heard of this before. I will definitely try this out next time.

alright. So I cant get those type of plugs at a Parts store. I have to get them at a bike shop.

SOME auto part stores dont carry them. BUT NAPA auto store does have them, at least thats where I bought mine from. Try that or order them online. It never hurts to call the Auto Stores first before you go running around.

Should be around $3 a piece :thumb:

Or just Ebay the Plugs and Wires.
