alright guys.. I posted a few days ago thinking that my intercooler was making backfiring noises, well after peeling around today to find the problem, I noticed it was actually from the stock air can.

The biggest problem is, that when I give it WOT the car bogs down and tries to die. This happens anytime the boost (stock) gauge moves into positive boost.

Ive looked at my spark plugs, (all good gapped at .028), Ive looked at my O2 sensor and it looked fine (just brown in color), Ive tried to find boost leaks, but dont know if I am doing it right (created the tester and everything)

Im lost and I need my car running.

PLEASE HELP ME!!!

anyone??

I was wondering if a dead knock sensor would cause the same problems.. as far as not boosting and jerking in positive boost..and causing the rps to fall.

What you cando to help this if not fully correct it is to remove your aircan, plastic grate bedind your headlight and get a K&N and also remove your silencer from behind your MAS, also make sure your intake pipe is sealed and everything is tight.

Might aswell clean your intercooler while your doing this,

The problem is that when you go WOT you are asking for more air to be pulled in, your intake is prolly dirty and in stock form extremely restrictve, thus making it hard to get going and starving the engine of air resulting in bogging.

thank you for replying!!!

well I was wondering about that too, so I took the can off and mounted just the filter and MAS in the bay.. but the popping seemed to have stopped but the car still bogged down..

I did remove the silencer but the only thing that changed was the idle, moving up from about 800+/- 50 to about 1000 rps.

but I never thought about removing the grate, so I will do that as well.

i just cant figure out what is going on..

anymore ideas?

oh yea.. the filter is brand new too.

I'm not a turbo guy so please excuse me for speaking out of turn, but the tip of an O2 sensor should be white and not brown when functioning properly. It's jut an idea, but you could be blowing really rich. I'd have that O2 looked at just to be sure.

Good luck and keep us posted.

Ok Guys..I took the advice and removed the grate and the silencer on the intake. Didnt help. My sparks are still good just like everything else in my ignition that I can think of. I have tested for boost leaks and cannot find anything. I have even wrapped my pipes with Duct tape and inertube rubber just in case I overlooked the slightest hole. I have searched everywhere for leaking air and still cannot find anything.

I did clean my intercooler the last time I posted and cleaned out any oil in my lines. I also replaced my BOV with one off my parts car.. that works.

I have also tested my turbo for ANY shaft play and dont feel any. the turbo does not have any oil blow by on it and all the fins look great.

I installed a new knock sensor and I dont have any CEL codes at all.

I replaced my computer and the car runs strong, starts up perfect, and idles perfect without any mis. UNTIL boost! I get up to about 2 psi and it bogs.

Can some one PLEASE HELP ME... I have tried everything and cannot figure this out!!

HELP!!!!

Have you checked your Wastegate? maby its stuck or the flapper has damage to it??? Just an idea. Good luck!

Thanks. :D Could be bad injectors-bad fuel filter? If the car drives fine when in vaccum("negative boost") :D then you more than likely have a leak somewhere...you didnt mention you tested for those???
