I am looking to buying some HkS 272 cams, intake and exhaust, getting ready for a larger turbo. I already know that with my 14b i wont see as much of a gain as i would if i had a larger turbo that could use the extra air better. What i am needing to know is if, with the 272, will i have to get stiffer springs? Please only respond if you know for a fact. I tried searching and did not turn up too much

you will need after market springs and retainers. they arent that expensive for them and tit. retainers. its cheap insurance

You do not "NEED" them.

By the way, What is with all the cam questions latly, This is about the 6th thread this week?

LOL i guess we all have a burning knowledge for everything that is the cam :)

if you want to squeze every available horse out of your engine go with the lightest spring rates possible; it will put less drag on the engine. If you can get away with running stock springs i would go that route. just a lil info for you to help in your decision.

Wouldnt recommend it. Valve float is fun for noone.

exactly. you might be able to run them for a while, but what happens if they give out and you float a valve? you have more to pay for than the $300 you could have spent on valve train
