stock oil press gauge reliability?

how releable are the stock oil pressure gauges in the 1gs? either im on crack, or i have seen my fluctuating a little more than i ever noticed before.

I recently bought a 91 talon, and the pressure guage dosent seem to work well, the light doesnt come on, but the guage barely moves, if any. I was going to get a new sensor, but i dont know yet.

The gauge seems to be pretty good. However, the sensors die after a decade or so, apparently. And, the little clippy that holds the wire on the sensor gets tired and loose.

My stock oil pressure gauge was barely moving at all when I got the car - I replaced the "little clippy" and now it works like new.

well thats good to hear i think mine need a cleaning/replacing
