Stock motormount question

I have a question about the motor mounts on 2g cars. I used to have a 3g and I went through 2 sets of stock motormounts before I had some custom motor/tranny mounts made by deyemeracing , do the 2g eclipses have issues with tearing the stock motors mounts? I am trying to figure out if I should get it out of the way before I run into that annoying ass noise when they tear

you shouldnt have any concerns about tearing throught the stock mounts on a 2g. If you are running light to even some moderate mods and are pushing some decent hp you wont need to worry about the mounts...any anyways how did you go through 3 sets of mounts on a 3g??? I think you drive a little too hard.

our mounts do not tear (never heard of that happening). however, they are VERY soft and with an even older car than I have, i expect your motor mounts have been worn. Although they will not tear to the point where you will hear it, save yourself the pain and just get prothane motor mount inserts.. problem solved
