whats the stock fuel line size for the 1gs.. the metal line going to the front? -4an?

im thinking -4an is the stainless steel braided hose size which is equivalent to 1/4" if I remember correctly
-4=1/4"
-6=3/8"
-8=1/2"
hope this helps

Use a micrometer and just measure it. And remember AN sizes are in 1/16 inch increments.

so:
1an = 1/16
2an = 1/8
3an = 3/16
4an = 1/4
5an = 5/16
6an = 6/16 or 3/8
7an = 7/16
8an = 1/2

and so on and so forth. If you plan to make it AN style fittings to, do make sure you get the correct tool to flare the hard line from the back and its the proper degree.

IIRC, it's 5/16", which is a 1/6" smaller in diameter than a -6 hose.

Correct

I also what to know what you are trying to accomplish?
If you need the thread pitch of the fuel line fittings its a m14 x 1.5 inverted flare fitting

I would not suggest slipping a stock hose over the fitting or anything like that, do it the right way and get an adapter or correct fitting for the project. If you want to run a -6an line take a look at this:
