Stock converter brake stall on a 2G GSX?

Ive been having problems with the 97 GSX running slow as piss on the bottom end and surging a bit during acceleration, and Im wondering what the stock stall should be on my TC. I tried brake stalling it a number of times and it only stalls to about 2k, I would think thats very low for an AWD turbo vehicle, the torque converter looks brand new, its bright blue, and if it IS a reman or was replaced by the previous owner, im wondering if he bought one for a non turbo by mistake or if im chasing another problem.

non turbo cars have a different transmission/engine so there is no way he could have put a non turbo TQ on it, and about brake torque/stall it should be in between 2,500-3,000 rpms. check your fluid you might be just low on fluid

Checked the fluid at operating temp today, level is perfect, fluid is red, not burned, and it still shifts early and bogs down at random during acceleration. Im wondering if the TC is just bad or if i have a plugged valve body or TC solenoid

Dacco Torque Converters by Autozone are Blue in color just so you know. You might have one of those.

it sounds like it is maybe engaging the torque converter lockup when it's not supposed to. i believe it's only supposed to be in overdrive. a clogged or leaky valve body would cause this, or an electronic problem with the solenoid.
