How well you guys think a 7 bolt bottom end is going to hold up with a hx35? Im going to run 23-25 psi on pump. I dont go WOT too much. Im on a 16g now and need some more power. I also have all the supporting mods to run a large turbo.

On a completely stock 6-bolt low end, Talondave went 11.60 at 121.52; race weight with driver somewhere around 2880. That translates into just over 400hp using the [hp = weight * (speed / 234)3] formula.

This was done with a mix of race and pump fuel at around 28-30psi. Head studs were installed, head gasket was a FelPro PermaTorque Composite.

On a good tune you'll be fine, but you'll be getting near the point where 7-bolt rods like to break if you go much past 25psi.

On my fresh 2g piston 1g rod acl race bearing 6 bolt, it didn't mind a full year of WOT 30psi pulls on the hx35 8 blade. If I had more fuel for e85 I would go 35psi. I have no idea what kind of power it was making to the wheels but it was flowing 43lbs/min on stock cams.

Not a good enough excuse not to run it. get a 55 gal drum!

haha, I was actually thinking about that. If they dont get it around where I live then I might just do that. Its just not very practical for a daily driver.

Injector prices don't vary that much so you might as well go big, as long as the cars tuned for the injectors you wont have any issues. As for the key driver chip I don't know much about them, I'm sure that plus an SAFC would be fine for tuning. ECM link would be a better choice.

so, if i were to follow suit as OP, and got an h1c with bep, what size injecotrs if i run e85? looking to make 400-450whp. i was thinking 1050? that be good enough?

also i read back through the posts...i didnt see any form of bench racing going on. jus stated how the use of a stock 6 bolt was fine for another user, and dont use stock rods if pushing more than 25psi.
