Just curious on how far I can go on stock bottom end. Thing is my motor has already been rebuilt but back to stock form except no balance shaft. I want to see how much hp I can make on stock bottom en reliablly. I will in future build the bottom end but want to play with car first for a little while. How much power are you stock bottom end guys making.

it all depends on the tune..and how it was rebuilt...ostar put out 749awhp ...thats alot of power on the stock block..and thats 749 to the wheels...i know of a few dsms at 600awhp stock 6 bolt reliable...so like i said it all comes down to the tune, and the maintenance..

Thats crazy but good news. Right now I have a couple of oil pan bolts that are leaking i need to take care of. Any ideas? I used grey rtv. I guess i could tighten down lil more just didnt want to break them

^Good point^ another thing I like to do is apply a nice film of silicon to both surfaces on the oil pan and the block. When you put the oil pan on don't torque the bolts right away, snug then up by hand but not to tight, just enough to where a little bit of silicon starts to squeeze out. Give it a few hours and let the silicon harden creating a seal kind of like a gasket and then torque the bolts to specs. If you torque the bolts right away then you will squeeze out most of the silicon leaving very little to act as a seal.

I make about 500hp on my stock 6bolt. Daily driven. Its all about the tune

awesome. going to fix my leak then start tuning the car. I did tighten bolts to soon i think and to much cause my grey rtv squeezed out some.

The "Right Stuff" by Permatex is the only thing I will seal my oil pan with. It will not leak, provided you take off all the old crappy RTV you had on both surfaces before.

The stock block can handle some power. Ask me how I know. Also, as Jaxness mentioned, it's all in the tune (and how well the car is built and setup as a whole).
