just wondering...whats the fastest, or whats the most hp a stock bottom end can handle?

The fastest DSM i have SEEN at the track with stock bottom end was runnnig like 12.2 (it was a 1st gen AWD)

I have heard several times that a stock bottom end in very good shape should hold down 450hp... for how long i dont know though, i have not tried that

My 95 AWD have 147000 miles and should be pushin a little over 300hp, running mid 13s... and it still runs great, truly a testimate to 4G63 glory :thumb:

power is 530Whp.

time is 10.56.

The capabilities of modern motors is just jaw-dropping. I'm not in touch with what everything else out there is doing, but the powermaking ability of the Mits motor is stunning.

The Formula 1 cars now are turning damned near 20,000 rpm. The tachs on the TV telemetry _start_ at 6K. I'd love to nose around inside one of those sometime. How the hell does the fuel burn in that amount of time?

that's an interesting idea... 20k rpm and fuel burning... perhaps they do some sort of thing where only one cylinder per rotation is being used? that's something to ponder...
