hehe kinda dumb question but whats stock boost on my car? just wondering if its worth it to install a boost controller and gauge without bov thats all. thanx

Yeah, atleast search for it first thats why there is a search. i have spent the past 2 hours on here looking at post on 6 bolt blocks and 1g 2g swaps and got what i needed WITHOUT POSTING i am gonna have to agree with rdrkt on this one

Wow, sorry guys didnt mean to cause a up roar and i tryed to search and ill i got was a run around. As for rdrkt i didnt ask this question just at you, if it pissed you off ignore it , relaxxx boys life is short, later guys

i wanted to know what is a safe psi i can run on my engine with a 20g. i do have a mitsu metal head gasket and i was also looking into cams lifters and springs. i was also looking into spraying into/on the intercooler. the bottem end is stock.

my boost guage is saying 13.5 pounds at 6000roms.. is that right? some people are saying thats a little high and i might have boost creep

ya...my gauge says 13...but im leakin boost...it'll go up to 13, than down to 11, than 10...supposably my BOV is broken, so im gonna replace it with a 1st gen one

Later
Michael

Geez, My Boost must be high, it is at 14 or 15 and sometimes when I get on it hard it shoots to 17. Do you guys think something is wrong? I have a 1G BOV, 2.25" stainless steel upper intercooler piping, full 3" turbo back exhaust, and a K & N intake. I use an Autometer 30-0-30 boost gauge.

Thats because you have a full 3inch exhaust and a 1g bov. You need a boost controller to prevent the creep. You should even it out at 15-16psi.

just upgrade ur fuel pump...u have a t-25 i bet u can run that boost its fine cuz at higher rpms it will drop off...thats just alittle boost creep, everyone gets it when they first start moding their car

i have this same lil prob. i have a mbc though. holds solid at 15 then it starts to slowly go down i guess thats normal. but what i dont think is normal is if i step on it in first, it shoots up to 20 and then holds at 15 through the rest of the gears. i dont understand that.

Hey all,
I know this is going to sound dumb to most of you but I just got my 98 GS-T about 3 days ago, and I plan on modifying it soon. BUT, for now what is the stock boost on this car and what can I up it to safely before the mods. around 13 psi, maybe??? Any info on this would be MUCH appreciated. Thanks.

if i understand correctly, the stock boost should be 11 psi. i just had a boost gauge put in, and it reads usually around 14 or 15 psi max. boost creep maybe? everything is stock except for dejon intake and greddy bov. i dont have a mbc or anything, so any reason im pushing 15 psi? (not that im complaining ;) )

becouse you are wrong about the stock boost level for one (as a search woudl show), and two when upgrading the stock 2g bov one usually gains 1-2psi...

Also.. your max boost isn't really the boost you're running.. I run 11psi, but i spike 15 all the time... but i still run 11 psi.. because it won't stay 15... if that makes sense.

My car is stock with just an Injen intake and stock p.o.s. bov, and my boost gauge reads 11psi max.

I need to install my Joe P. MBC, but first I gotta get a new bov.

Candela, why don't u shut your fu**ing mouth you lil' bi*ch, I never talked sh*t about your car, so keep your damn comments to yourself. Everyone has their own taste on cars, so you dont need to give comments of what to do. Just becuz you couldnt afford to get a bodykit for your car, doesnt mean you need to tell people or myself to take off mine!
Damn, just another stupid ass people who can't keep bad comments to themselves. I always give good comments to other people, becuz I HAVE RESPECT for their time and effort they put onto their car. You need to just fu**ing grow up and go ahead and send this thread to the moderator. Its not like I started it anyway. I'm just pissed off!

LMFAO...dude you need to get more confidence in yourself man. I was just busting your balls, no shittalking intended. Relax man...

Well, as you can tell, i have a bad temper and can get pissed off easily. I'm usually okay with it when I know they are joking.
