1g, 9-11
2g 12-14
What is the stock boost pressure on a [DSM]?
1G cars have a stock boost pressure of 8-12 psi. 2G cars have 10-15 psi. The service manual allows lower pressures, but those are rarely seen in actual vehicles.
This was taken from 1000 already ask questions. bigboycsrobo this is like my noob handbook, alot of good reading.![]()

i wasnt that far off, i was just going off what i have personally seen.I just bought my talon tsi and am running 14psi stock does that sound right
The 2g Eclipse NT has a completely different engine than the turbo versions (420A compared to the 4g63T) so you cant calculate boost pressure based on power differences. Also in most cars that have a turbo and non-turbo variant while using the same engine (1G DSMs) the non-turbo is usually factory equipped with higher compression pistons so it becomes a lot more complex to do comparative calculations.
That still doesnt answer the question of who is correct. Although the N/T and turbo are completely different motors, the way HP is calculated should still be roughly the same.
Shouldnt it?
Thanks guys
