How much power can you make on the stock 2g turbo before your maxing it out?
*fuel mods Included*

Haha yeah, ditch that pile.Even a 14b would be way better and you just need an install kit and a cheap old 14b.Cheap but effective setup.
An even cheaper solution would be to find a big t28 compressor wheel, machine the housing on the t25 and shove that thing inside it...correct me if im wrong but i'm pretty sure FP does this for their Big t28 turbo. However, I'm not sure if they use the same turbine wheel.

import tuner magazine made around 222 whp/ 245 tq to a 1999 stock turbo GST with basic mods and minor tuning ...i figure you can still extract 30-40 more HP from the stock turbo by doing more head/bottom work ..

I wouldn't call that extracting more HP from the stock turbo...more like from the engine

right my bad... still even if the turbo is maxed at 230~ hp ... doing work on the engine internals will net you well over 250 whp .. but that is way too much work for such little gains ... upgrade that T25

wow, thats sad LOL. Yeah, i guess im taking out that sad snail. I'm going to start looking for a Used 16G.

ah forget about those import tuner guys they dnt know anything bout an eclipses. if you read the power pages on the eclipse it says:tease: "95 and up Eclipse is the Mitsubishi 16G turbo stock"

hahah that's pretty funny...they confused the t25 with the 16g. someone should get fired!!!!! BLASPHEMY!!!!!

OMG... i just noticed they do say the stock turbo is 16G .... hahaha .... import tuner = EPIC FAIL ...

Why? they are both small junk/
I wouldn't call the the 16g 'small junk.' It's low spool allows power to be distributed across a wide rpm range. Many have gone relatively fast with it...

I'm personally a holset fan...eh, to each his own right?

Yeah thats what you need man. :thumb:

Pic of my HX35 7 blade Holset. Its peeeeerty.

T25 blows major arse. Evo3 16g is a good turbo upgrade and very common and known for it's potential and streetability.
What are your hp goals ?

Before my car had sever engine problems i was running the t25 on 21 pounds. I remember this ignorant kid telling me it wasnt possible... Anyways i ran it on 21 psi for a while, definitely hit fuel cut many times, not to mention my turbine got so hot the little side mount intercooler didn't really cool it down as much as was needed because i eventually had sever timing issues leading to melted valves (timing never skiped surprisingly.)

T25 sucks end of story, upgrade your fuel system if you havent and pick up a e316g for cheap.

Get the proper supporting mods before you go out and buy a bigger turbo. No fun in upgrading to a bigger turbo and not being able to use it in it's efficiency range. Check the TECH section for 2g upgrade path guide and VFAQ Site - Visual Frequently Answered Questions for more info on our cars. Welcome to the forums!

Thanks:thumb: I got everything i need now. Now, the waiting game begins LOL
