hey guys (and gals) i was wondering if its possible to trim the areas in red on a stock 2g manifold without comprimising integrity?

Just run the heat sheild polished or painted until you can get the FP manifold.

If you run without the heat sheild and carve out material. You are losing potential heat that the turbo actually likes. You want the heat in your turbo and out of your engine bay.

Seems like a giant waste of time with no real benefit and possible downsides to me. And if you f*** something up you will be looking for a new manifold.

But props for trying something new. Even if it's superfluous.

You can, in fact i did it but only a Little of it, manifoldis is still alive till this date.
