My 2G GST is flowing 20psi with my EVO3 turbo and my buddy is almost keeping up on my side with his AWD 1G 14B at 15-16psi and stock SMIC.

My airfuel ration is 11:1, timing is about 18 at readline.

I think my stock cams are killing me. Do 1Gs have more agressive cams? Which Gen car gets better gains from upgrade cams with a 16G turbo? 1G because it's bigger or 2G because it flows better?

Can you compare air flow against his car? Datalogging? If so see how much of a difference there is. How many #'s of air are you flowing at redline compared to him.

The smaller 2g TB and cams are what is killing your topend compared to the 1g. The difference in cam lobe lift is not that much but the 1g TB will help. Switch those out and you should take him.

Actually I think I'm gonna blame it mostly on the gearing between the two cars. Looks like AWD has much short gears compared to the GST.
