BC280 cams stock head and gears?

so title says it all, can i run a set of BC280's on a more or less stock 1g head with stock cam gears, or will i have spring issues or ptv clearance problems?

It is highly recommended to run aftermarket spring with these cams because of the lift. I currently have a set of bc280's in my motor that's waiting to go into the car with kiggly behive springs. 280's are for a higher rev powerband and stoking springs will more than likely float up there. Springs aren't that much. Pm me if you want a set of HKS springs from my last built.

You should really install some springs, The BC1100 should work just fine with the BC cams.

Just make sure the springs you run are set up properly.

You're also going to need to get some cam gears so you can dial in the cams.

Check the installed height and shim the springs to the manufacture recommendations.
