Terrace,
I have just finished an engine rebuild top to bottom and now the gas pedal is very stiff. Is this because of the large increase in power?

I also have a stiff gas pedal!!! Drives me nuts!!

Makes the car feel like a piece of crap! I haven't found the problem yet, but think that it may be in the box on the firewall that the throtle cable goes to. ?

The cable itself does seem to move smoothly and freely and is not kinked in any way. . . . . . well I don't know. . . . .

Damn, its frustrating.

Do you have cruise control? Most of the time the stiffness comes from the springs in the cruise control box. When they get rusty it gets hard to move. I've been able to get rid of some of the stiffness by spraying the spring in that box with some WD-40. If that doesn't work, your next best option is to eliminate the cruise control system by replacing the throttle cable with one taken from a DSM without cruise control.

This is a very good possibility, especially on cars like ours that are 15+ years old. I'm in the process of removing my cruise control for this reason.

Yah I bet it is the cruise control box. As to your question Spinz 4, I do have all grounds hooked up except for the tranny to car ground (because tranny is grounded through block), and the exhaust to car ground (because theres no place to attach it on my aftermarket exhaust and its grounded anyway)
