hey i just bought a 1g 91 eclipse gs-turbo. And it has a starting problem, when the guy had it before, he said that the engine would start fine, run for an hour, and he would turn it off for 5 minutes and go to start it again and it would just crank and crank. He would let it sit for another hour or so and it would start again. He said it could posibly be the engine harness or the ecu, it had spark and fuel. Im going to be reciving the car in the next few weeks and im gona do a compression test, and check for spark and such, but has anyone else had this kind of problem before? Or know what it could posibly be? He said the engine ran fine, and for a good price i got the car, so if its something small it is really worth it,

Thanks

you might want to check the idle air control motor. it might be dirty. i had the same problem. but i replaced the IAC, and the car still stalled. mechanic told me it could be the ECU. trying cleaning the IAC. you might have better luck and save 300 dollars for ECU. :thumb:
