AhhhhH!!!!! just got the motor back in after having it out now it will not start.

When you turn the key to the start position i hear the starter relay click, then you hear the fuel pump turn on, but not start. I jumped a wire from the battery to the starter (s) and it worked. Also i checked all the fuses and connections. I also disconnected the clutch wire connector. When i disconnect the starter relay it did nothing when the key was turned to the start position, so I think all of those things are in working order.

I have read about the security system maybe being part of it, but do not know what else could be wrong. Please help!!!!

ok, i think i have narrowed it down to the Black wire with yellow stripe going from the starter relay to the starter solenoid. I tried to do a continuity test and got no continuity between.

Is there a fuse or a fusable link between? Is there anything else that might control that wire?

is your car a 5 speed if so you might want to check out the connector on the clutch peddle its like a neutral saftey switch if you unplug it and jump it out with a paper clip

also check your grounds there should be one that comes from the starter that runs to a bolt on the tranny

is that not the Clutch safety switch? Yes I unplugged it, but i thought you were supposed to just leave it not jump it?

Also doesnt that ground run from the tranny bolt to the battery?

****SOLVED***

Looks like the little black wire with yellow stripe need to be plugged in on the wiring harness and to the starter! duh! :)
