Just replaced a bad motor in my 95 GS-T and the starter won't engage now.

Check list so far:
- Replaced starter
- New battery
- Double checked wiring in auto harness (5 speed swapped)
- Ignition
- Starter relay

There is one wire which was broken when I pulled the old motor out which is a solid yellow wire in the main harness running on the bottom of the radiator core support. I have reason to believe this may be causing my problem but I'm unable to trace the wire into the engine bay.

Any input on how to bypass/jump the wiring or how to go about fixing the problem is greatly appreciated.

Nothing at all for the starter.

Where does this plug into?

1. Fill in all vehicle info in your profile so we know what you are working with

2. There is a yellow/black wire that comes from the starter solenoid and joins to that. If that is not there then you are not getting power to the solenoid which won't engage plunger or complete the circuit to spin the gear/wheel.

Quick fix:

Get a 16/18 guage wire preferably red and put a female connector(red or blue) on the end(like the one on your thermostat temp guage sensor). Spice the line to that wire you have there and the other end with the connector to the starter soleniod.

Proper Fix

Buy a new or used one.
