Starter problem. HELP PLEASE

Today I Installed my motor and ran into one problem. When I turned on the power to the car the starter started spinning. It wasnt engaging to start the car but wouldnt stop spinning. So I tried by switching starters but then it did the same thing. Then I hit the side of the car and it sparked. Now it wont do anything.

what could it be? How do I trace the problem?

Have you had them tested by autozone? Also, make sure that the signal wire is on there and not disconnected anywhere.
