i have a 95 tsi awd and i use to have the motor in a fwd car and i been having a problem with the starter grinding so i cut the hole bigger so it would line up on the starter for the awd and maybe like once a week i have to rotate it so it wont make a very loud grinding noise or it just wont start at all. is there a difference between the fwd and awd starter plate? or could it be a bad starter?
