Hey Guys and Gals,
I was looking at some pictures of an SRT-4 and I thought to my self " I wonder if that is the same as mine?" Well anyways this is what I am wondering - Will a SRT-4 Valve cover Fit on a 420A or has anyone done this? They look very close but I like the Look of the SRT-4 Valve Cover better and I like that it says turbo. I just wish It didnt say 2.4L. But anyways heres a picture of one. Thanks in Advance.

I never honestly figured this out. I was going to do it to my old 420AT setup. I think the holes for the spark plugs are off a little. The 420A is the direct decedent of the SRT4 motor. But it undergone a huge reconstruction so I don't know exactly how much is different with the physical shape.

Since a SRT4 valve cover might be a little pricy and you might not wanna spend that just to have a Fail, Go to a Junk yard and pick up a 2.4L PT Cruiser Valve Cover, Same Block/Head as a SRT4, just not Built.

yea I thought about that too or if I get super lucky and find an SRT-4 there but I doubt it. I will have to go junkyard hopping this weekend and see what I can find. I would be stoked if it fit. Also a little off topic but from everything Ive heard you can actually take a pt cruiser gt trans, which is stronger than the stock auto in a 420A and it will bolt right up and have basically a stage one trans. Have you heard of this?

I know some one with an srt-4 VC for sale... He's been riding around with it in his truck for ages along with a toasted stock srt-4 turbo.

It looks like it would fit the dual cam motor to me, but i have never tested it as al i have is the single cam turbo motor we're building for the wifey

Go over to neons.org i have seen a couple of threads on this subject. Your answer will be there.

Call the parts store and see if the VC gaskets interchange or look in CAPS. If they interchange the plug holes could be off as previously stated. If they however DONT interchange dont bother wasting your time.

well here is a idea, forget the money you would waste on a srt4 valve cover, shave the stock VC and then get some decal stickers made and make it say, 2.0 Turbo or what ever you want.

Close, but no cigar. I'm calling this myth *busted*.

Does this need editing then? You list the 2.4 SRT-4 as a match.
