I replaced the stock clutch with an act2600 about a year ago. I recently replaced the clutch fork/pivot ball several months ago. I haven't driven the car much but when I do, I get a squeal from the driver side area when the clutch is pushed in for a length of time in neutral, or while it's engaging in the first few gears.

Any thoughts?

Not sure if worn trannsmission mounts would contribute to it, but mine are pretty worn. When the clutch is engaged I can push against the trans mount and the noise won't be as much. The whole engine/trans. move when the clutch is engaged as well. I wouldn't think worn mounts would cause this kind of squealing/squaking though.

I thought normal TOB symptoms are noisy when the clutch is not engaged.

And the TOB was replaced at the time of clutch swap last year. Not more than 8k miles on it. I wouldn't understand why it is already going out.

check and make sure all bolts holding the tranny to the engine are secure. if any are loose it can cause the engine to move when pushing the clutch in. the squealing could be the TOB. maybe it wasnt greased up enough or properly when last installed. just a suggestion
