Ok guys I have a 2g and I want to take my spoiler off to make my car less flashy to the cops. I have been pulled over 3 times in the past two weeks and wasn't speeding or breaking the law in any of these 3 occasions.

Also the guy who owned the car before me also went crazy with a can of spray tint on my tail lights is there anyway to get this stuff off without buying a new set of lights? And on the spoiler delete I would like to do this the most cost effective way possible.

The spoiler is the one in my avatar and you can look at it in my profile pics I think. Thanks for the insight

The only way to do it is the right way.
1. Unbolt spoiler from bottom of trunk lid
2. Have holes welded shut and painted. try to find an inexpensive auto body shop to paint the hatch.
3. Buy 2Gb highrise spoiler
4. Have new spoiler painted
5. Drill new holes for new spoiler and bolt on.

x2.. You could do that or if you don't want to or don't have the funds yet they sell little white/clear plugs that you could slip in the holes.. Buts yes having the holes welded shut, ground down, bondo'd and repainted would be the better option! :thumb:

Dude is your car for sale on the Indianapolis craigslist? I'm pretty sure I saw it there.

Yes it is

For the taillight tint use acetone or you can sand it with 1000 grit sandpaper and work your way to 2000 grit then buff them out

Should I take them off to do this or just tape them off. Whatevers easiest is the way I want to go

Again, do it the right way. Remove the taillights and then use acetone to remove the paint. The paint on your car sure will not like acetone. and if you are trying to sell it, there goes a bunch of the car's value right there.
