Some ecu swap help

I just got a 99 ecu and a tactrix cable to replace the SAFC that isnt cutting it . Anywho I was wondering if anyone could give me any tips on setting it up. I just learned that I have to add some cable with a headphone jack into the ecu harness? Im a little confused here is the ecu not just a direct replacement? Anyways my profile is up to date if anyone needs to know my mods and thanks in advance for any help.
