Hey guys so I replaced the stock clutch with another stock clutch, however I feel that the pedal is softer that before. I bled the system the following way:
1. Filled cup with brake fluid
2. Loosened bleeder on slave cylinder and put one end of a hose over the nipple and the other in the cup submerged in fluid
3. Pushed rod in couple times
4. Closed bleeder

I saw bubbles coming out, but the pedal still seems soft. The slave isn't leaking or anything, I can go into gear, but it just seems soft.

Yeah i have noticed that after changing the clutches in several different types of cars.

I had one mechanic tell me that they will feel like that. The reason being is when you put a new clutch the the big tabs on the pressure plate that the TOB pushes against will be sucked in more than the old clutch was when you took it out. And the further in they are the easier they get to push.

This is what I was told, not my own words.

Lots of posts on here already on this subject but most issues are do to improper bleed &/or clutch adjustment (yes the pedal still needs to be adjust even though we have a "self adjusting" slave). TRE has a good post on how to properly bleed the clutch, linked below & Jacks Transmission has a good video on how to adjust the clutch pedal properly.

If you did not replace the master or slave cylinders and did not disconnect the line between them then you shouln't have to bleed the system.
