clutch pedal becomes soft

every now and then my clutch pedal would become soft, and my fluid would be empty.. just refulling the clutch fluid it would get me where i needed to go, but then out become empty, i bled the system, with three people, one pedal man, other keep the fluid full man, and me watching the air bubbles disapear. so the car is good for a couple weeks and a long drive, go to school, then when i press on the clutch it became soft again, looked at the clutch fluid it was nearly empty.. where is all my fluid gone? checked around the clutch master/slave cylinder, no leaks? possibilits? have one of my cylinders gone bad? if so, i could take it out, but what would i be looking for?

is it just me, and i should of checked my fluid level?

Usually when the seals fail inside the clutch master it will cause the slave to fail but not always. If it's an internal leak the fluid would go interally to the clutch master cylinder the leak out through the seals. If it's getting soft i would check the slave becuase the slave cylinder is what pushes the clutch pedal back out. It's not hard to do at all, i did it in less then an hour and it didn't cost more hen 30 bucks.

alright, so i bled it again, and now the slave is making a squeeeking sound every time i press it. slave it is? also i look around the clutch master cylinder, and didnt feel or see any leakage...

also, 30 bucks aye for a slave cylinder? was that off a website? auto part store?
