I have the same videos. Its actually not as bad as it sounds. They are pretty straight forward in the video except that it is about impossible to find the special tools. You can do it easily do it without pulling the motor, its just a lot easier if you jack it up and take the front drivers side wheel off. The hardest and most important part is torqing everything to the right amount and getting the tensioner right. A Haynes manual helps a lot also.

Here is a little trick that i came up with when installing/replacing the timing belt with the engine in the car. First of all its a little tricky but for the tensioner i used a small finishing nail and inserted it through the hole in the housing through the little piston and out the other side. If it is set correctly it should go straight in. Then u can remove it without any special tool and or it opening up on you. Also i found that most of the time those top bolts on the engine mount are tight enough that you need to employ a gorilla to take them off. I just took the center bolt out of the front, rear, and engine mounts and then jacked up the engine at the oil pan using a block of wood. Then once you have enough room just slip the belt on it. A little more time but a lot easier in my opinion. I can post some pics if need be on the tensioner trick just let me know.

You can do it without any special tools, but it's much more of a PITA without them.

If you think you'll ever time another 4G engine, then buy this kit. It's a Godsend and knocks the job time in half.

how much does that kit cost?? It doesn't say on the link
