So today was kinda of a nicer of the day....only like 30 degrees out...so i decided to replace my thermostat...i opened it up...and there's nothing there..i was like wtf...i thought it might be somewhere's else but it's not there...so i put a new one in and the car warms up nice now...still got the idle bounce after driving it.. that's my next thing to fix

So did it take about an hour to warm up before?

I'd bet it did. I've seen some thermostats that were so badly corroded that they just fell apart in the coolant system. Only thing left in the thermostat housing was the metal plate that used to hold the thermostat.

well if i was at a dead stop the car would warm up in like 15-20 min....but once i drove the car the temp gauge would fall under the warm aread....i was actually pissed that there wasn't one in there....doesn't show the previous owner taking care of the car. I wonder what other suprises i'm about to find
