i did some searching but didnt find what i needed. i am trying to decide between extrude honed or smim. you can read my profile but i have a e316g. which one will see bigger gains with.

the SMIM will surely give you the gains your going for. From what I've read (no 1st hand experience) the overall opinion on extrude honing is a waste of money and you receive no substantial gains from the process.

I point ya in the direction of this thread
extrude hone thread

yeah i read that but it didnt compare it to a smim. i was just told by someone with a 10 sec car that smims were a waste of money and to go with extrude honed. so that made me doubtful about the smim that i was set to buy

Honestly, at this point with the amount of mods you have done to your car, neither a SMIM nor an extrude honed intake will be worth the time and money. I would stick with a 1gen intake manifold and look elsewere for makeing more power....
