Smaller wastegate

My friends want's to buy a 14b turbo to put on his Tiburon but he needs a wastegate acuator that will open around 8psi? I figured this would be the right place to ask for him.

Tell him to remove the flapper and internal wastegate actuator and get a EXTERNAL wastegate and MBC.

Thats still cheaper than a T3/T4 with a External.

Good luck to your friend....is HE fabbing the set-up or is a GOOD shop doing it?

I doubt a good shop would use a used turbo like a 14B so I am gonna assume HE IS.

He's gonna need GOOD LUCK and know exactly what he's doing., but since he doesn't know....just wish him good luck.

He doesn't know what he is doing. I just told him how cheap he could get one for and I thougth that it would be a good size for his car. What other options would be easier besides buying a $3000 kit?

Finding a $1000 or less AWD DSM.

I have done it a number of times..Buy em cheap....put a head and head gasket on and go!!

Thats cheaper than putting a turbo on a Hyundai.
