Smaller oil filter

i've read somewhere there's 2 sizes for our car, i seem to have the big one here and my new tubular o2 dump seems to not work out with it. any idea on who makes the smaller one ? and where to get it ?

do you have a 1g oil filter on???? The 2g ones are pretty small to begin with.

Just run a regular 2G oil filter they are pretty small. Most people run 1G filters cause they're bigger, thats probably what you have.

I have a 1G and am running the "small" filter. Works fine.

i have the pure one filter with the part # that was in the book at pep boys

I went to NAPA and told them a filter for a 92 Eclipse and I got a small one.

I've used the big and small on my 1g's in the past. I've never seen a "big" 2g filter, although I've seen people use the big 1g filter.

so i CAN use the 3000 one ? the one i have is like 4 inches long maybe a little more, i need something like an inch smaller. it's only a 2.5 " tube

Same here.
a 1g oil filter won't clear my 3" dp.

The new Montero filter fits and it's really short. Good for lots of clearence.

I use the oil filter for an EVO 8 as per the tech article suggests. Works like a charm, and I have about an inch of clearance between it and my RNR 3" DP.

the 3000gt filter isnt as long, its just wider/fatter.
