My small 16g blew so I pulled the comp housing off and my friend polished it. In the mean time I bought an EVO 16g and now want to put the polished small 16g housing on my EVO 16g. Will the small 16g housing be like a downgrade or are they EXACTLY the same?

Thanks

I remember reading a thread while back stating the only way to tell the difference between 16, big16 and evo16 is to pull the intake and check the blades. However, I'm not 100% sure.

Well, you can tell by the serial numbers on the exhaust housing as well. But I just need to know if the evo housing is designed differently than the mitsu housing in any way that would affect performance.

Yes, they are different. A small 16G compressor housing won't fit on a big 16G compressor wheel.
