Any interest in buying into a billet small 16G compressor? It doesn't increase power, but it does result in earlier spool (aluminum having less inertia than steel). I'm talking to Snail Turbo (Taiwan) and they'd be willing to fabricate ten pieces if we're willing to buy them. Anybody interested?

What makes you think a regular s16g comp wheel is not aluminum?

A small 16g comp is cast aluminum. The difference in weight is minimal between a cast and billet. But snail will give the blades more area in reducing the hub diameter.

Cast is lighter than billet because billet is more dense. By being more dense it's stronger than cast and can be machined thinner with a smaller hub area, so often the billet wheels end up weighing less. We've been over this.

Also, a "group buy"-type thread isn't permitted here unless you're a Supporting Vendor. Become a vendor and you can sell all the compressor wheels you want.
